One building, many faces, many stories, one tradition
It is believed, that the Traube was already existent around the year 1800.
There were various owners and operators throughout the 19th century.
Frieda and Bernhard Kessler purchased the property in 1918. They were
running the hotel until 1962.
In 1962 the niece of the family Kessler, Sieglinde Felix and her husband Karl
started running and owning the hotel. Thanks to their outstanding skills in the hospitality industry and the perfection Karl Felix achieved as a chef, the hotel
soon became well known in the entire Bodensee Region. Many extensions and renovations during the last 4decades have changed the hotel from a small
pension with 8 rooms to a 4star upscale resort hotel with 91 rooms. As of
today they are still active in the hotel.
Since 1994 their daughter Sabine her husband Sebastian Nölke-Damms
have been running the restaurant. Their son Uwe has joined in 2002 and since been running the hotel operation as a general manager.
Every generations has achieved different things, however they all share
their spirit and love for the industry. Just like in the last 200 years the hotel
and its owners will continuously strive for excellence and guest satisfaction
the coming years.
